Where practicable and appropriate, every learner will be offered access to meaningful workplace experience.
This may include:
- work placements
- employer visits
- job shadowing
- volunteering
- industry projects
- workplace simulations
- employer-led workshops
- vocational tasters
- mentoring
- apprenticeship encounters.
Work Experience
Phoenix believes that Work Experience should not simply occupy time, but should answer questions as follows:
- What did I learn?
- What did I demonstrate?
- What did the employer observe?
- What did I learn about myself?
- Could I see myself working here?
- What do I need to develop next?
Employer feedback becomes part of the learner's Phoenix Progression Passport.
