Developmental
It identifies what should happen next.
Proportionate
Learners are not subjected to unnecessary assessment.
Participatory
Learners contribute to understanding their own progress.
Evidence-based
Claims about progress will be supported by credible evidence.
Balanced
Strengths and needs are both recognised.
Progression-Focused
Assessment will ultimately improve decision-making about the learner's future.
Quality assurance and feedback
Learners contribute directly to quality review, ensuring that their feedback leads to visible action where appropriate. Employers and placement partners also provide feedback, which informs employability assessments based on real-world experiences. Referral and professional partners are invited to contribute, supporting external accountability and feeding into our Quality Review Meetings rather than just reporting data.
